Pressure Points

On anxiety, and the cost of a fast-forward life.

An important aspect of my coaching work is helping clients recognise and deal with anxiety and the negative consequences of stressful lives. Here's why.

A personal account

In my mid-30s, and with a successful career, I became seriously ill, and my work and relationships suffered badly as a result. Eventually I discovered that the symptoms were my body's physical response to the stressful life I was leading.

A series of damaging past events, a lack of care for my own physical and emotional well-being, a toxic working environment, and a fear of being seen as unable to cope with the pressures of work had all combined to undermine my natural resilience and make me unwell.

Once I had understood this, and had taken steps to regain control and rebalance my life, I was symptom-free within twelve months, and I took up my career again with renewed energy. In fact, the difference it made was so profound that I trained as a teacher of the method that had worked so well, and I have used it to help others ever since.

Where it is appropriate, I provide this as a part of my coaching.

Richard's approach has helped me find my own way through the issues I needed to explore, as well as discovering others during the process.
